Eco Voltz Foundation Points League - August Update
August round up from the Eco Voltz Foundation Points Leagues.
Eco Voltz Foundation Points Rider League
At the end of August, there was a big shake up in the Eco Voltz Foundation Points Rider League with John-Paul Sheffield taking over the top of the table on 234 points.
Helping him achieve a total of nine wins at BE100 and BE90 level – and a substantial lead in the league – by the end of August, John-Paul piloted Jane Heerbeck’s six-year-old mare, Julia B, and Isobel Crosbie’s five-year-old gelding, Kingsman, to an impressive three wins each.
Sitting over 100 points behind John-Paul on 128 points, Georgie Strang holds her second place from her league position in July. In August, Georgie added a BE100Open win, on Carolyn Bates’ stallion, A Moment In Time II (Aston Le Walls (X)) and a third place finish, on Anne Stratton and Pippa Woodall’s Katelane, in the 5YO class at Wellington International.
Lucy Robinson, also made a leap up the leaderboard this month after earning 63 points throughout August, including six top five placings to sit in third place on 119.
Eco Voltz Foundation Points Horse League
In the same league for horses, Penny Marriner and Lady Milnes Coates’ Jack Daniels L Z heads the table with 70 Foundation Points. Ridden by Nicola Wilson, the six-year-old gelding picked up a win at Skipton (2)’s BE100 and a second place in the BE105 at Northallerton (2) this month.
Toms Bruce, owned and ridden by Phillipa Nixon, holds second place in the league on 64 points after securing a third place at Burgham International and second place at Warwick Hall (X) this month (both at BE100 level).
Christopher Makin’s Makin A Storm moves into third place on 58 points following two BE100 second places in August - Norton Disney (2) and Shelford Manor (2) - under Ros Canter.
