    European CCI3* Cup

    It is with great regret that we announce that, following discussion with the European CCI3*S Cup Chairman of Selectors Andrew Chadwick and his fellow colleagues, British Eventing will not be fielding a team or individuals for the 2021 European Cup in 2021 which was scheduled to take place in Lausanne, Switzerland in September.

    Following the recommendation of Phase 1 of the IT Programme Strategy Review, the IT Steering Committee has been established as a committee of the BE Board with the stated aim “to ensure that all further work to develop and maintain the current IT systems, and consideration of any short-, medium- and long-term IT strategy, is carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner in alignment with the strategic objectives of BE and to support the delivery of sport.”

    Unfortunately, due to insufficient entries at the time of Moreton Morrell’s (1) ballot date, the event have made the difficult decision to reduce to running one day of competition on Thursday 6 May 2021.

    As reported on 7 April, the Equine Infectious Diseases Action Group (EIDAG) – who advise British Equestrian – has recommended that the EHV-1 risk level is dropping to a low/normal level, but as an endemic disease the risk it poses to the UK equine population is continuous.
