A fantastic opportunity for a sponsor to support the entire BE Regional Youth programme from 2020 onwards has now become available, which includes an extensive training programme, competition opportunities for under 21s and the inaugural BE Regional Youth Team Championships providing the pinnacle of the programme each summer. We now look to 2020 where the Championships will be hosted at Bishop Burton College on the 24th to 26th July.

The programme runs at three levels; BE90 Open, BE100 Open and Open Novice, and every Under 18 BE member is encouraged to register. Registration is free and riders of all levels can participate. The programme is invaluable in supporting our young riders by helping them to achieve their aims and goals through a fun and educational platform. Many of those who have gone through the programme compete at the highest levels of the sport now, including notable names such as Tina Cook, Will Furlong and Francis Whittington.

The programme consists of an extensive and well-established training programme specifically for young riders, along with competition opportunities in classes run for solely under 18s, giving riders valuable experience against members of the same age group in a supportive environment. Riders competing in Under 18 regional classes also benefit from coaching support and course walks at the event from our experienced Youth BE Accredited Coaches. For those aiming for the BE Regional Youth Team Championships, each region holds a number of qualifiers at ONu18, BE100Ou18 and BE90Ou18 level. Regional teams are selected, who then go on to compete against each other in the BE90 Open under 18, BE100 Open under 18 and Open Novice under 18 Regional Team Championships. The BE Regional Youth Team Championships finished on a high in 2019 at Frickley Park where the South West teams won both the BE100u18 and CCIJ2*.

The sponsor for this programme will get the benefits of both training elements and the championships with the added digital platform of our website and coverage through news on our website and magazine. Our social media platform is also really strong gaining huge coverage for our Partners & Sponsors.

“We are really excited to be able to offer this as a full package for 2020 to support the Youth BE Members through both support and coaching and at the championships,” Chloe Ford, Commercial Manager at BE commented, “We will be working with Bishop Burton and the Regional Youth Coordinators closely to provide the best return on investment to sponsors.”

“Developing young talent is at the heart of Bishop Burton College, which is why we’re delighted to be hosting the BE Regional Youth Team Championships in 2020” said Bill Meredith, Chief Executive and Principal of Bishop Burton College. “With the help of our sponsors, we look forward to supporting and showcasing these hardworking young riders.”
