British Eventing 3* League 2020
On a total of 46 BE points, Piggy March and the March Stud’s Sportsfield Top Notch take the 2020 title in the British Eventing 3* League.
Open to British riders on horses who have never competed at four or five star level, the BE 3* League sees the top points-winning horse and rider combination competing at CCI3*-S and CCI3*-L level.
Piggy March and Sportsfield Top Notch’s successful run of three star results saw the combination ending the season with a second place in the CCI3*-L at Osberton at Thoresby International and Young Horse Championships. The runner up sport gave them an additional 28 points to go with their 10 points won from a fourth place at Keysoe International (4) CCI3*-S and eight points from a fifth place at Wellington International CCI3*-S.
Sadie Able and her own Ericantos VDB claim second place in the league, on 33 points, after three top five finishes at CCI3*-S and -L.
Just two points behind, and completing the top three, is Mark Davidson and Sophie Dodds’ Highlight K. A second and seventh place at CCI3*-S level, along with an 11th place at Osberton at Thoresby International and Young Horse Championships CCI3*-L, put the combination on total of 31 points.
