Reminders for Members

With sport resumed, there are a number of things we would like to remind our members.

 

Please check your mobile number

  • Mobile numbers are used to send rider times and in the case of an event abandonment – no number, no message!
  • Check that your mobile number is correct and up to date by logging onto your account on the website and selecting ‘Update Details’.
  • Ensure that the ‘Mobile field’ on your account is populated. Our text system only picks up the one in the mobile field for important event updates.
  • Do not put any spaces in your number or anything other than your number in the field, e.g. no notes or requests.
  • For an international phone number, the number must be entered in full international format, beginning with a “+” and the Country Code and without any leading zeros, spaces or brackets. For example, 0033 (783) 12 34 56 should be entered as +33783123456

Membership, Horse Registration and Season Tickets

Please complete the horse registration process, renew your membership, and purchase your season tickets/day passes ahead of submitting your entries and especially ahead of the ballot date of the event to which you wish to compete. Contact to the office is always high on ballot dates and we may not be able to respond as quickly as we might on other days.

Horse Passports

Please remember to send your horse passport details when you first register your horse. Delays in doing so may result in you being unable to complete your entries.

FEI Registrations and Passport Applications

Please submit these well ahead of the event. We will endeavour to process these within our normal timescale of 10 to 14 days.

If a fast-track service is required, an additional fee of £69 per passport is applicable.

Membership Cards 

As part of our efforts to reduce of plastic, we no longer issue plastic membership cards. An image of your membership card including the QR card which events may scan to gain access to events, can be found on MYBE on the website. Login to the website and go to My Account to see your card. 

Rules and Member’s Handbooks

Last year we gave members the choice as to whether they wished to have a hard copy rule book sent to them. All 2021 rule books have now been posted to members that opted to receive one. A downloadable copy of the rule book can be found on ‘MYBE’ on the website for members who did not opt to receive a hard copy or new members who have joined us this year.

Abandonment Refunds

In the unfortunate situation where an event is abandoned, the start fee, and if relevant, the anti-doping fee for those entries affected will be issued immediately by the event’s entries secretary. Once the insurance claim is agreed, the entry fee will be refunded.

The entry fee refunds can take up to 3 to 4 weeks to process and appear back on your statements although we often process much quicker than that. Please also note that the refund can often be found on the date of the original purchase of the entry so please do check back on your statements.
