What is 'TRY Eventing?'

Do you want to try eventing without the pressure of competition and recorded results?

TRY Eventing offers a controlled Training Environment to experience 3 Phase eventing. 

Who is 'TRY Eventing' for?

This is for horses and riders at BE80, BE90, and BE100 Level. 'Try Eventing' is open to both members and non-members of British Eventing. If you are new to BE, please ensure that both horse and rider are registered on the BE website before making an entry.

  • Short Dressage Test
  • Dressage marked for your feedback but no placings are given
  • Listed Dressage Judge
  • Sheets Available (C19 Protocols Apply)


  • 8-9 Fences
  • Straight from SJ to XC
  • Warm up fences available for both SJ and XC


  • 12-13 fences
  • Not timed but there is a time limit
  • Option to jump 'one up' selected fences at higher level
  • Option to jump 'one down' or miss a fence

This Membership is for sole owners who own a horse that they do not compete themselves, but that is ridden and competed by someone else. Read more

Full Membership - from £135

Full Membership is the ideal membership if you are looking to compete as a rider throughout the entire season. Read more

Joint Owner Membership - from £140

For two people who own a horse that they do not ride in competition, Joint Owner Membership is ideal. Read more

Syndicate Membership - from £230

Syndicate Membership is for people who want to share the ownership of one or more horses. If there are three or more owners of a horse, then this is the membership you need. Read more

Corporate Membership - from £230

If your company owns a horse that competes with BE, we have a membership for you. Read more
