Description

Ahead of the new season British Eventing is hosting a series of free Fence Judge and Volunteer training days for those who would like to join the loyal group of BE volunteers and Fence Judge confidently this year.

Between January and early March BE Officials will be covering a range of topics including the theory of fence judging, what to do in various scenarios, new rules for 2020 and the practicalities of fence judging on the cross country course.  This course will also look at all the volunteer roles at an event.

The workshops are aimed at new volunteers but would also be hugely beneficial for seasoned Fence Judges, who may also want to bring a new volunteer with them.  Along with each attendee taking home a handy volunteer booklet, it also provides a great way to meet people who share a love of volunteering and eventing.

This project has been kindly part funded by Sport England through the British Equestrian Federation

A morning's training with David Merrett for BE fence judges and volunteers.
Suitable as a refresher for existing judges and other volunteers and an excellent introduction for anyone who would like to take up one of these roles.
