Update to August Fixtures

Additional days at Aston le Walls (4)

We are pleased to announce that there will be two additional days of competition at Aston Le Walls (4). Originally scheduled to take place from 13 – 16 August, the extra days will be Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 August.

The event received an exceptionally high volume of entries, and we hope that these additional days mean that more members will be able to compete. Whilst the Fixtures Panel previously made the decision to not allow the addition of Cholmondeley Castle (2) on that same weekend due to concerns about the impact on entries at events the following weekend, the Panel felt that adding additional days to Aston, in advance of the current dates, should not adversely impact entries. It was also felt necessary to provide competition opportunity for members.

Due to the unprecedented situation, the Fixtures Panel has also chosen to override the procedures set by the sport at this time and allow six consecutive days of cross country to take place at Aston Le Walls (4).

Forgandenny (2)

The BE Regional Coordinations have today (31 July 2020) confirmed that Warwick Hall will replace Forgandenny (2). Unfortunately, this fixture will not be able to run due to the restrictions remaining in place in Scotland. We recognise that Forgandenny (2) provides an important competition opportunity for those in the north of the country, and are grateful to Douglas Weymouth and the team at Warwick Hall for being able to host a replacement fixture on 15-16 August.

Entry details will be available on the Event Page of Fixtures and Results
