Topthorn Jump Training Cancelled

Due to low entries, sadly the Jump Training scheduled to take place at Topthorn EC on 15th February has been cancelled.

Following a notice to members this week that sufficient entries would need to be received by today, otherwise a decision would need to be made on the running of the competition, the required number of entries have not been made.

Debbie Pritchard, Sport Manager, said; “For the winter series, each venue has a different policy regarding cancellation fees, due to the costs that we would have incurred for cancelling closer to the event, we had to make the tough decision today to avoid this. We emailed our members in the region around Topthorn this week for a final call for entries and also put it out across our social channels, but unfortunately we haven’t been able to get enough entries to make the event viable this time.”

There is just one Arena Eventing competition remaining in the 2019/2020 Baileys Winter Series, with Mendip Plains hosting the last qualifying opportunity for the Baileys Winter Series Championships at the end of February. Entries are still open for Mendip Plains on 16th February, and if you have already qualified for the Championships, entries can be made for both Jump Training and Arena Eventing.
