Nominations Open for BE Volunteer of the Year Awards 2020
British Eventing is delighted to open nominations for the BE Volunteer of the Year Awards 2020, supported by Fairfax & Favor.
Recognising and rewarding the outstanding contribution of volunteers in British Eventing, nominations are now open for the BE Volunteer of the Year and the BE Young Volunteer of the Year (aged 21 and under) awards.
Nominations will close on 23 November, after which a shortlist of the top nominees will go forward to a member vote, opening on 27 November 2020.
The winners of each category will be presented with a generous bundle of prizes, including a beautiful Fairfax & Favor Windsor handbag or Westminster laptop bag, trophy, a free 12-month BE Supporter Membership, certificate, Hiho Silver BE charm and BE merchandise bundle. All shortlisted volunteers in the Members’ Volunteer of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year will receive a free 12-month Supporter Membership and certificate.
BE CEO, Jude Matthews, said; “We are thrilled to open nominations for these Volunteer awards. Volunteers are always a key part of the running of British Eventing, but this year has given the sport the biggest hurdle ever experienced, and our volunteers have shown us again how dedicated and passionate they are.
“Being one of the first mass participation sports to get up and running this summer - at very short notice - was a huge challenge and could not have happened without our volunteers. We cannot thank them enough for all they do, but are delighted to launch the BE Volunteer of the Year Award to go towards showing our gratitude of the hard work, skills, experience and determination our brilliant volunteers bring to this sport.”
Nominations are open now and can be made HERE.
Nominations close at midnight on 23 November, followed by the publication of the shortlist and opening of voting on 27 November.
Winners of both the BE Volunteer of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year (aged 21 and under) will be announced on 11 December 2020.
