NAF Junior European Squad in second place after Dressage

The NAF Junior European squad furthered their European Championship campaign in Maarsbergen, Holland today with the team finishing the dressage in a fantastic second place, only 0.6 penalties behind leaders Germany but also a great 11.5 points away from Ireland in third.

Two GB riders took to the stage yesterday; first out for the team was Elicia Miller with her own A Sunny Bay, who scored 38.4. Team mate Leila Paske and the Paske Sydicate’s Billy McFee were second to go, producing a smart test of 29.0 to sit them in sixth place overall ahead of day 3.

This morning saw Saffie Osborne and Lord and Lady Blyth’s Lakantus perform a fantastic test of 24.8, landing them in second place individually after dressage. Alice Casburn, on Caroline Casburn’s Topspin II, had to endure the wettest of weather but held a smile throughout her test and scored 36.4 to take her into the next phase. Last to go was Georgia Bartlett, riding her own Spano de Nazca, who performed a very smart test resulting in another top ten score of 29.8, leaving her in seventh place going into the cross country tomorrow.
