Job Vacancy - Junior and Young Rider Independent Chair of Selectors

British Eventing is looking to appoint an Independent Chair of Selectors to oversee the selection process for both the Junior and Young Rider squad.

Selectors report directly to Independent Chair of Chief Selectors and are overseen by the CEO, International Directors of British Eventing and BE Sport Manager.

The role, which is voluntary, is primarily to oversee the process of selection ensuring that it is robust and transparent with the policy its self being adhered to. The Independent Chair of Selectors is responsible for upholding the integrity of each decision to ensure that the reputation of Great Britain, British Eventing and British Equestrian Federation is maintained.

The appointed person will need to be impartial, confidential, tactful and a good communicator. A sound knowledge of the implementation of policies is essential. Knowledge of both National and International Eventing competition would be advantageous although not essential.

Interviews will be held at the British Eventing Office in early June. The appointment will come in to effect immediately after the 2019 Championships in July 2019. The term of the Independent Chair of Selectors will be for four years.
