Georgia Bartlett crowned NAF Junior Champion 2019

This weekend saw a fantastic display of equestrianism from the NAF junior riders at the Fairfax and Favor Rockingham International Horse Trials, with Georgia Bartlett riding her own 13 year old gelding Spano de Nazca to Junior Championship glory.

Georgia added only 0.40 time penalties to her dressage score of 30.2, winning by over five penalties and resulting in her lifting the trophy previously won by her mother 32 years earlier.

Molly Faulkner and Amanda Faulkner’s Classic Affair took the second spot, finishing off their weekend on a score of 35.8. Their dressage score of 26.6 put them in first place after the first phase, followed by a clear show jumping and cross country, with 9.20 time penalties costing them the win.

Hot on Molly’s heels was Milo Kennedy and Sophie Douglas’ Moher Prince who claimed third place, producing a fantastic double clear, adding only 2.80 cross country time penalties to his dressage score of 34.

Elicia Miller added another great result to the list, piloting her own 15.3 gelding A Sunny Bay to fourth place in a classy double clear. The pair added only 5.2 time penalties to their cross country round, leaving a score of 37.7 on the leaderboard.

Saffron Cresswell completed the top five with her own 16.1 mare Quality Rose, finishing on a score of 39.6.

Chloe Barnes, Commercial Manager at British Eventing commented, “We would like to thank NAF for their very kind sponsorship and generous prizes. I am sure all the riders will agree that their support is highly appreciated.”
