Excitement builds as International eventing action returns at Burnham Market

Some of the world’s leading event horses and riders will finally be back in action this weekend, when International competition returns at the Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International Horse Trials (16-18 April).

After a long and challenging winter, fans of the sport will be delighted to see so many of their favourite combinations getting their 2021 international campaign underway. Among the names on the start list are current Badminton Champions, Piggy French and Vanir Kamira; most recent Burghley winners, Pippa Funnell and MGH Grafton Street; and reigning World Champions, Ros Canter and Allstar B.

Event Organiser, Jenny Meiklejohn, can’t wait to get the competition underway. “We have had more than 250 entries across the international classes and more than 600 in total from some of the best names in the sport, so the weekend promises a real treat,” she said. "Perhaps the biggest treat for many of our visitors, however, will simply be the opportunity to be out in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, enjoying first-hand the sport that we all love so much.”
