Brits on form in Barroca d'Alva

A round up of British results from week one of Barroca d'Alva, Portugal (16-21 November 2020).


Great Britain’s, Ben Hobday, secured four top ten placings at week one of Barroca d'Alva, taking the win in the CCI1*-Intro on his own Shadow Kingsman, with a score of 35.6 penalties.

Ben claimed second place in the CCI4*-S on Jane Chambers and his own, Shadow Man II, with a score of 31.5. The win went to Ireland’s Cathal Daniels and Barrichello on a score of 29.7.

In the CCI2*-S, Ben placed fifth on his own Shadow Seahorse (34.8 pen) and eighth on Shadow Star Quality (39.2 pen).

Tarka Abraham, won the National CCI2* on her own Jarisa with a score of 35.1 along with a seventh and ninth place in the CCI2*-S riding Joanne Broadway’s Vamoose (38.9 pen) and her own Gundulas Gold (45.1 pen) respectively. 

Riding Margaret Peet’s Newton Belize, Tim Rogers finished in seventh place in the CCI3*-S on a score of 41.6.
