British Eventing appoint new Sport Committee Chair

We are delighted to announce that we have recruited a new Sport Committee Chair, Alison Gill.

Alison (Ali) is a founding director and CEO of Bvalco, a board advisory business helping FTSE 100, privately owned and sports organisations improve their board effectiveness. By background Ali is a behavioural psychologist.

Ali is keen to improve the quality of boards through the education of board directors. In 2011 she helped to set up and design the FT’s award winning Non-Executive Director Diploma. She is a lead tutor and Advisory Board Member for the diploma. The diploma has several hundred graduates, of which more than 70% go on to become successful board directors.

A keen sportswoman, Alison is a triple Olympian for rowing (1988, 1992 and 1996 Games) and now has a passion for the sport of eventing. A late comer to the sport, she rides as a competitive amateur up to 3* but more importantly is a syndicate member and event horse owner for Lissa Green.

Ali has joined the BE Sport Committee as a means to give back to sport. BE exists for its members and needs continual help from volunteers to progress. Ali has been lucky enough to receive help, advice and support from many people in her sporting career and hopes that by Chairing the Sport Committee for BE, she will enable that progression.

We welcome Ali to the BE team!
