Bedeveloped Education & Training Conference at Osberton Horse Trials

A series of forward thinking business conferences and educational platforms are new additions to a packed schedule at this year’s Osberton International Horse Trials organised by the team at BEDE Events.


Running from September 29th to October 3rd at the picturesque Osberton Estate, as well as top class eventing and carriage driving, four innovative conferences, a business lunch and networking opportunities will also be held throughout the event. This exciting new concept running under the Bedeveloped brand has secured support from leading industry players.

British Eventing Coaching CPD Training
Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th September, welcome British Eventing coaches for a 2-day CPD course, which will include practical and classroom elements. With presentations and discussion from Kristina Klingspor, ground juror from Tokyo Olympics, Caroline Moore, British Eventing Youth Performance Coach, Andrew Hoy, Olympic Eventer, and David Evans, Tokyo Olympic Course Builder.

Wednesday 29th -This day is focused around successful training in flat work, of athletes and horses to compete safely in a competition environment.

Thursday 30th - This day is focused around the cross country test and you will walk the course with Andrew Hoy and David Evans, discussing different variations and questions.

BEVA Event Incident Management Conference Supported by CVS Equine
Thursday 30th September - we welcome British Equine Veterinary Association for an Incident Management conference which will help veterinary delegates develop their understanding of the team involved in running horse trials, refreshing knowledge of horse side emergencies and learning to work with doctors and other emergency services in critical situations. This course is being kindly supported by CVS Equine.

Business Networking Lunch
Friday 1st October, plays host to our business and networking lunch. This lunch is a great opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch, network with local businesses and learn from our Guest Speaker, before being able to enjoy all the action the event has to hold. This year we are delighted to be welcoming Claire Lomas as our Guest Speaker, Claire had a lifechanging accident at Osberton in 2014, which left her paralysed. Since then Claire has gone on to raise over £750,000 for charity and is now a prolific speaker in regards to overcoming diversity and inspirational achievements.

Course Designers and Builders Training
Saturday 2nd October welcomes cross country course designers and builders from all over the country for a training day. Tokyo course builder, David Evans, and previous Burghley Course Designer Mark Philips, will be conducting a day full of practical and classroom lead discussions, looking at safety and development in these areas.

British Eventing Officials
Sunday 3rd October, we finished the week with a day for our sports technical advisors, stewards and delegates. This day will focus around the various areas which officials are required to cover, invoking discussions and further analysis into the different areas. This day will be lead by Matthew Lanni, Roly Owers from World Horse Welfare, and the team at Equiratings, Sam Watson and Diarmuid Byrne.
