BE NATIONAL HOME COACHES DAY

 

British Eventing is pleased to launch the "Attention to Detail" themed National Home Coaches training day being held on Tuesday 14th January 2020 at the Unicorn Trust Equestrian Centre, Gloucestershire.

 

“Attention To Detail”

The 2020 "Attention To Detail" Home Coaches Day aims to be a highly educational day focusing on the tiny margins that make all the difference to a winning performance. Book now HERE.

  • 9.45am: John Ledingham, show jumping
  • 12.15pm: Ros Canter, cross country
  • 1.00pm: Lunch
  • 1.45pm: Group 1-  Andy Thomas (main arena)  Group 2 - Carney Bonner (coach house)
  • 3.00pm : Group 1 - Carney Bonner (coach house) Group 2 - Andy Thomas (main arena)
  • 4.00pm: Finish

 

2020 presenters

Commandant John Ledingham, International show jumper and coach. Ledingham has decades of experience from competing at international level including at Olympic Games, World and European Championships. Since retiring from riding he has gone on to coach and manage teams at the top level including Team Manager at the Athens Olympics, Senior Chef d’equip and coaching on the BEF Show Jumping Pathway.

Ros Canter, reigning World Champion. Ros will demonstrate her system of cross country riding with an emphasis on eye sight, posture and balance.

Andy Thomas MCSP, HCSP, High Performance Human Science and Sports Medicine Advisor to the USA  Equestrian Teams and Director of Eventphysio Ltd. Prior to this he was the Lead Practitioner for Human Science and Sports Medicine to the British Equestrian Federation for 10 years. Andrew has attended 3 Olympic Games, 4 World Championships and 12 European Championships.

Andy will demonstrate his system Testt (Thomas Equestrian Symmetry Types and Tests) a system of assessing imbalances and weaknesses in equestrian athletes.

Carney Bonner, Mental Health coach and speaker for MIND. This interesting workshop will aim to help coaches look after their personal mental wellbeing in what can be a solitary vocation.

The day is open to all Coaches and will count as CPD for British Eventing Accredited Coaches.
