A Day Pass Membership is ideal for riders who want to have a go at eventing for the first time, or for those who can only compete a few times in a season. A Day Pass Membership, which costs just £15 per year, allows the Day Pass Member to go on and purchase horse and rider Day Passes in order to compete at BE events.
What is a Day Pass?
There are Horse Day Passes and Rider Day Passes, which give combinations the opportunity to compete at a BE events without a Full Membership for the rider or a Season Ticket for the horse. Combinations can compete from BE80(T) up to Intermediate Novice on a Day Pass Membership, using Day Passes.
How much are Day Passes?
A Horse Day Pass is £16 and a Rider Day Pass is also £16. If you buy a Horse Pass and a Rider Pass together you will pay £25 instead of £32, but only if you purchase them online and in the same transaction (if you are competing at BE80(T) you only need to buy a Horse Day Pass, a Rider Day Pass is not required). You need to be at least a Day Pass Member before you can purchase either horse or rider Day Passes.
What level can I compete at on a Day Pass?
You can compete from BE90 up to Intermediate Novice level on a Rider Day Pass and Horse Day Pass for the event (excluding Championships and National Finals). To compete in BE80(T), you only need a Horse Day Pass.
You can qualify for and compete in Regional Finals for the Badminton Cup on a Day Pass, however in order to compete at the Championships you will need to have a Full Season Ticket for your horse and Full Membership for yourself.
How often can I compete with a Day Pass?
You can purchase up to four Rider Day Passes in any one season, and an unlimited amount of Horse Day Passes can be purchased. This means riders can compete in up to four BE90 to Intermediate Novice classes in one season on a Day Pass Membership using Day Passes, or any amount of BE80(T) classes.
