Course description

Osborne cross country course is designed at Open Intermediate level, with increased technicality, however options will be available.  The course runs down the valley toward the Solent, with two water complexes.  Distance will be approx. 3000m.  There is exceptional viewing from the terraces of Osborne House.

Entry fees include VAT. VAT Reg No 285 462 672.
INTERNET entries will be accepted on www.bede-events.co.uk.   Any entries unpaid at ballot date will be rejected. 
WITHDRAWAL/SUBSTITUTIONS – Noon on 22nd July 2019 by emailing entries@tristareventing.com.
REFUND POLICY: No refunds after acceptance, however riders will be able to substitute horses.  If you are unable to replace, it may be possible to offer the place to another rider, however they must travel in your horse box as ferry passes are limited.

STARTING TIMES are available from 6.00pm on Monday 22nd July 2019 on website www.osborne-horse.co.uk



Stabling and 2 bales of bedding will be provided as part of entry fee.

ENTRANCE POLICY - No other passes, other than those issued by Osborne Horse Trials, will admit to the event.
There will be an Owners' Car Park adjacent to the Horse Box Park.
All registered owners & riders of competing horses will gain entry via their BE membership card.  Please see website for further details. All ticket enquiries to tickets@bedeltd.co.uk. Please allow plenty of time on arrival to ensure that you have time to collect any relevant information.  Osborne Horse Trials provides Owners facilities throughout the event. All Owners are welcome to use this facility.  Please see website for up to date details.

Accommodation list is available - please see website. A trade and food village will be running with a feature on Isle of Wight produce and product.

Classes and fees

A specific dressage test has been written for Osborne, please see web site for details.

Entries will be restricted to 30 horses per class, with preference given to riders who enter two horses – one on each day.
Any results from this competition will not count towards any qualifying results for BE points or BE/FEI MER’s
Entry fees cover Entry fee, transport for horse boxes to and from the Island (two horses per lorry) stabling and bedding, abandonment levy, some catering and entertainment for grooms, riders and owners.  Please see web site for details.
Riders will be allocated ferries for transport leaving the mainland on Monday 22nd July and returning on Wednesday 24th July.
Due to the profile of the event we will not be able to refund entries after acceptance, however riders will be able to substitute horses up until Saturday 20th July.  We have limited ferry passes so additional lorries will not be covered within the entry fee.
No horses permitted on site until Monday 22nd July 2019  

Qualifiers and special classes

The Grand Prix class will be open to the highest pointed horses


Prize pool in excess of £40,000.  Minimum of £4000 first prize in both sections.
1st - 3rd Prize Winners of all sections must attend prize giving. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN PRIZES BEING FOREFEITED.
***£200 prize money will be paid to all competitors completing the competition.***
