Training Passes - For Horse and Rider Combined

Riders and Horses Taking part in Stafford BE80(T) 2010 on a British Eventing Training Ticket
Training passes are a perfect way to get started in Eventing. These passes allow you to compete in any BE80(T) or Riding Club/Pony Club class run by BE, and are a combined horse and rider pass.  Riders need to buy a Day pass membership before they can buy a training pass.  Training passes are £15 per pass and a day pass membership is £10.

Day Pass Membership

Is a one year membership which when purchased allows the rider to buy training passes and/or day passes during the season.  A rider can buy an unlimited number of training passes day during a season and the membership and any unused passes expire on 31st December each year.  Please click on the link below to buy your membership.

 This type of membership includes:

  • Access to the Member Advantages Scheme offered to full members, contains over 400 discounted offers
  • A free shortened online version of the award-winning British Eventing Life magazine
  • Joining at  the lower renewal rate for any future paid full membership of BE
  • Lower entry fees for JAS and Jump Training competitions
  • Members discounted rates for BE training courses
  • A BE members handbook containing rules, dressage tests and more

BE80(T) Classes
The BE80(T) classes are aimed at first time riders and horses having their first go at eventing with a BE Accredited Coach who will be on hand throughout the event as well as giving course walks, advice and warming up - find out more on our BE80(T) page

Members with new horses or non-members with horses competing under a season ticket can also enter BE80(T) classes on Training Passes and you can buy as many Training Passes as you like in a season.  The entry fee cost for a BE80 is about £70 plus the start fee on the day.

Any refunds for passes can only be made for medical, veterinary, balloting or abandonment reasons and any refund must be applied for before the 31st December of the year in which the pass was purchased.  Please make sure that any refund is applied for by the horse's registered name and not its stable name.

Four Year Old Horses
After the 1st May each season, four year old horses can compete in BE80T classes on a training pass.  However, they can only compete a total of four times in a season and this includes Young Horse classes.
