ITTP update November 2018

Work continues on the ITTP and the following brings you up to date on progress.

We are now in the period of User Acceptance Testing for the website.  This involves the team here at BE testing all of the elements of the website to make sure they function correctly. This is a complex and time consuming task as there are so many transactions and activities handled through the website. When bugs or issues are identified, we feed these back to our suppliers, makepositive and Brightsites for fixing. Progress continues but not as quickly as we would like it to be.  The team are working round the clock to keep the project on track.

Once all the testing is completed we will need to migrate all of the current data from the current database through to Salesforce.

Given the amount of data this will take as much as 14 days. During this time and to ensure no updates are lost, the old website will be available to read only.

We are conscious of not having extended periods where members are unable to update the website so the current plan is for the  data migration to be completed over the Christmas break and Go Live in the New Year. This is dependent on the testing being completed by 20th December.

The Scoring App was live trialled at Bovington and Aston Le Walls where inevitably a number of bugs were found which need to be fixed. We are continuing work on these and where possible have further trials at the Winter Series and the start of next season.

This is the part of EARS that does all of the timetabling and scheduling for Entries Secretaries. We now have a Salesforce developer working in house to complete the refinements on this system in readiness for testing and trialling at the start of next season.

As we continue through December and the testing, we will keep you updated on when data migration will take place and therefore when you will be unable to make any updates to your details. If you do have any changes to make, please do those now so that when the new website is live your details will accurate.
