BE members invited to the Medical Equestrian Association 2018 Conference

The Medical Equestrian Association (MEA) this year welcomes a host of top industry speakers to discuss ‘Outstanding Performance’ at their 2018 Conference.

Taking place at Nottingham Belfry Hotel on Saturday 24th November, Full BE members, BE Organisers and BE Officials can also take advantage of a £25 discount on the ticket prices to enjoy a full day of expert speakers for just £125, down from £150.

Kicking off at 9.25am, guest presenters include Jonathan Forty who will explore A Cardiothoracic Surgeon's view of the Heart, Haemorrhage and Horse, Mary O’Rourke QC covers the Medico-legal aspects of providing care at sporting events and Clare Howard looks at how using biomechanics can optimise performance. Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials Cross Country Course Designer, Eric Winter, explores how to design a challenging but safe cross country course and Leon Roberts shares details on critically important medical planning at a four star event.

An invitation to the Annual MEA Dinner is also extended to all MEA Conference guests, which takes place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel on the eventing of the conference. The MEA has also reserved a number of rooms on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November for anyone wishing to stay; these can be booked via the application form HERE.
