The Blue Chip Central North West BE80(T) Challenge


BE80What's involved?

The Organisers of Weston Park Horse Trials and Blue Chip Horse Feeds have teamed up to deliver a regional competition called ‘The Blue Chip Central North West BE80(T) Challenge'.

Eight events will be part of the challenge, and eligible combinations placed 1st-4th in the BE80(T) classes will qualify for the Blue Chip BE80(T) Challenge Final.

How do I qualify?

Qualifications will run from March 1st the September 30th each year. Combinations at the final must be the same horse and rider that achieved the qualifying result. Both horse and rider must be eligible to compete in BE80(T) classes on the date of the Challenge Final. The combination must not have qualified for the 2017 BE90 or BE100 Mitsubishi Motors Cup.

Competitors placed 1st to 4th in any of the BE80(T) sections at the events listed below will qualify for the Challenge Final which will be held at Weston Park on the 7th - 8th October 201. If a combination has already qualified, the qualification will pass down the line to no further than 8th place. This will open up more opportunities for as many combinations as possible.  If a combination have already qualified then qualifications will pass down the line to 8th place.

What are the prizes?

Blue Chip are generously offering the following prize to the winner of the Central North West BE80(T) Challenge:

  • One year's Blue Chip sponsorship
  • A feed balancer and supplement for one horse for one year
  • Blue Chip clothing for the rider and their groom/helper as well as the winning horse
  • The opportunity for the winning rider to star in Blue Chip promotions

The Final

The Blue Chip Challenge Final will be held at Weston Park (2) on 7th - 8th October 2017.

It will be an educational day with full support from BE Accredited Coaches with dedicated course walks for the show jumping and cross country. The dressage test, show jumping and cross country will be as per the rules for the BE80(T) competitions.

Weston Park has experience in showcasing Championship level events, the cross country course which has become respected for its educational beautifully built and dressed fences will be bold, encouraging and beautifully dressed to a championship level.
