British Eventing has been running training and competition structures for younger riders for many years; there are now lots of opportunities for young riders to get the most out of competing and gain support and training to help them move up the levels. As well as training courses for all levels from the age of 12 to 21, there are a number of Under 18 classes at BE100 and Novice level taking place nationwide. These classes are qualifiers for the Under 18 Championships which in are held at Frickley Park.

Training is open to all; riders of any level aged 12-21 can take part in training, but in order to compete in the Under 18 Classes, riders must be in the year of their 18th birthday or younger, and be registered onto the programme in their region. It is split into two levels: BE100 Ou18 and ONu18. You can register onto the U18 Programme for free here for BE100 Ou18 and here for ONu18

The 12 - 21 Training Programme is split into regions, with Youth Regional Co-ordinators and BE accredited coaches assigned to each region. There is a comprehensive programme of training for all levels of rider as well as preparation training sessions for the BE100 Ou18 and the ONu18 programmes in each region.
