    This is an outstanding opportunity for Coaches to observe the National Under 18 Coach Caroline Moore training a group of Under 18 Riders at BE90 to 1* level. The day will incorporate flatwork/polework sessions and show jumping and cross country exercises. The Coaches can also enjoy commentary from another very experienced Coach Les Smith who will give some background to the exercises that Caroline is delivering. 

    There will also be a presentation and question/answer session at 1pm.

    This training is open to all levels of Coach, including BE Accredited, Pony Club and BHS instructors. Please note this opportunity for Coaches is NOT available on the second day (Sunday 11 February).

    The day counts as a Continual Professional Development (CPD) day for Pony Club and BHS Coaches.

  • Trainer

    BEU18 National Coach Caroline Moore FBHS. Caroline is a BE Accredited Master Coach and the National Under 18 Coach for British Eventing.

    Caroline has produced and ridden horses up to 4* level, competing at Badminton, Burghley, Bramham and Blenheim, as well as overseas. In 2007 she took part in the Olympic test event in Hong Kong on Don Giovanni.

    Caroline, who is the British Eventing National u18 Coach and Junior Team Coach, now focuses mainly on coaching riders and other coaches to improve their skills, with the main aim to develop confidence and belief by building correct foundations.

    Les Smith.  British Eventing Coach Educator for Scotland, UKCC Assessor and BE Accredited Coach. 
    Les has been involved with Eventing for over three decades and has competed up to CCI4* level. He is an FEI International Event Judge and British Dressage List 2 Judge.  

  • Facilities

    Indoor arena with viewing area and presentation area for the question and answer session. 

  • Timings

    Starting at approximately 9:00am. Individual times will be allocated for riders. Three groups of four riders. There will be a morning session of one hour in groups of four focussing on flat and pole work followed by an afternoon session of one hour working on show jumping and cross country exercises

    Tea and coffee available (honesty box) but please bring your own refreshments.

  • Kit Required

    Outdoor clothing for Coaches, pen and paper if you wish to take notes.
