Intro Champion 2006Welcome to the British Eventing Membership section of our website. 

Here you will find all the  information you need on joining us for the first time and registering a horse.  If you wish to take part in our sport as a competitor, owner, volunteer or interested supporter please read on to find out the different types of membership available to you.  However, if you are already a member and need to renew a horse or membership please click here.

Membership Choices:

For Competitors:  the first choice to make, when you want to try eventing for the first time, is whether to join as a Full Member or as a free Lifetime Registration (and compete on day tickets).  For those competitors 16 and under, please click here to read the restrictions on classes that can be entered.

  ++ Balloting is when an event is oversubscribed and the entry secretary ballots out the excess numbers. Day ticket entries are the first to be balloted out, but the ticket number can be used again at another event.  See Rule Book for full details.

For Horse Owners
:
If you are an owner of a horse that is going to be competed on a full season ticket then you need to take out Full Membership.  You do not have any other choice of membership category.

For Those Interested in the Sport:
If you are not competing, but want to be involved in British Eventing because you are taking time out from owning or competing, or because you enjoy the sport,  then Associate Membership may be the one for you.  It will keep you in contact with the sport, you will receive emails and newsletters from us, magazines, a rule book plus all the affinity benefits as listed on this website - click here for details.
If you are a volunteer helper at any of our events you can join as a Volunteer as long as when you join you send a list of the events that you help at into the office, so that we can put the information on your record.

Associate Membership Details

 Period of Membership    One full, rolling year to the first of the month of joining (both categories).

 

For Two or more Members at the Same Address:
Whatever the membership categories involved, one of the members can opt to take out a Green Membership and elect NOT to receive the bi-monthly BE magazines.   A discount of £15 off the membership category price, will then be  applied.  This option is available online or by form via the office, but the members involved must be at the same address to enable the discount to be applied.
