Land Rover and Bramham celebrate two decades with renewed sponsorship

The team at the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials, 6 – 9 June 2019, have signed a new deal with long term vehicle suppliers Land Rover which expands its support to the title sponsorship of the event’s CCI4*-S.

The class, formerly known as the CIC3*, is an integral part of the event and attracts entries from some of the world’s best horse and rider combinations

Anthony Bradbury, Marketing Director, Jaguar Land Rover UK said: “Bramham is a highlight fixture in the annual equestrian calendar and we’re proud to continue our support.

“From grassroots to the elite, Land Rover aims to support all levels of Equestrian and I am excited to see the new fence creations for this year’s course.”

The CCI4*-S was added to the programme in 2009 when a spring of torrential rain lead to the cancellation of the equivalent class at the prestigious Chatsworth Horse Trials in Derbyshire. This left a number of horses and riders without an all-important run and qualification opportunity. At short notice, Bramham came to the rescue and the class has been a part of the timetable ever since as a prime fixture on many rider’s wish list.

Land Rover will continue to support the four day equestrian show case by providing a fleet of vehicles for event officials which are essential to the safe and smooth running of the event.

New for 2019 - the Land Rover Owners’ Lawn

Located centrally in the tradestand area at the heart of the action, the enclosure will be an ideal retreat with complimentary refreshments. Land Rover owners just need to show their key fob to gain access. There will also be a display of Land Rover vehicles and a team on hand to talk visitors through the range of features and technical capabilities.

Land Rover vehicles will also feature on two of Ian Stark’s cross country fences this year. Details are still tightly under wraps while designer Ian and course builder David Evans work their magic but there’s little doubt that Ian has something special in store.

Event Director Nicholas Pritchard commented; “Land Rover has been a great supporter of the event for just over two decades and this new venture is testament to their dedication to not only Bramham but the sport as a whole. I’d like to thank the British Equestrian Trade Association who has supported the class since 2009, they helped us make it happen and have been in the frame ever since with their backing.

“These are tough times for finding new sponsors and Land Rover has been fantastic in expanding their support. Bramham 2019 is shaping up to be one of the biggest and best yet, I look forward to welcoming sponsors old and new, riders, owners, officials and of course our loyal supporters in June.”
