Kelsall Hill have announced the continuing support of Istanbul BBQ, Chester as the principle sponsors of their British Eventing horse trials.

Can Sims score a hatrick?

Nantwich-based event rider Paul Sims retained his crown in last year’s Advanced Intermediate class at Kelsall Hill for a second term, pocketing the highly-coveted £1,000 winner’s cheque.

In 2015, Paul claimed victory with Fred and Roselle Willis’s ‘Last Secret’ and then headed-up the 2016 leader board riding Jolyon Chamber’s ‘Mystic Million’, despite the best efforts of a top-class field of riders.

With a total prize pot of £3,000 on offer, this year’s AI looks set to be another exhilarating competition and with Paul planning to defend his title with his 2015 winner ‘Last Secret’ and the Badminton-bound ‘Glengarnock’, the question must be: can Sims make it a hatrick?

Said Paul: “The prize money on offer to the winner of the Advanced Intermediate class at Kelsall Hill is brilliant for our sport. Last Secret is in good form and we’re hoping to make it a treble victory for our team and a double victory for the mare!”
