Day Pass Information for Horses and Riders

Rider Shelley Gristwood competing on Horse Zodiac II in the cross country arenaDay passes are ideal for riders who want to have a go at Eventing for maybe the first time, or who can only compete a few times in a season. A Day Pass Membership, at an annual fee of £10, will need to be purchased before you can buy either a horse or rider Day Pass.  The purchase of one horse and one rider day pass each will give a combination the chance to compete with BE for one day. Horses can have an unlimited number of passes in a season but riders can only have four passes in a season.  You can compete at BE90, BE100, Novice and Intermediate Novice levels on a day pass.

How much does a Day Pass cost?

The cost of each pass is £16 and you need to purchase one for both horse and rider if neither of the combination are either full members or have a season ticket. If you buy a horse pass and a rider pass together you will pay £25 instead of £32 but only if you purchase them online and in the same transaction.

Day Pass Info
Day passes can be purchased online, as explained in the How To  pages, or by downloading a day pass form.

Any horse taking part in the BE Young Horse Championships four year old qualifying classes will need to run on a day pass and they can only run four times in total in a season, including the four year old Young Horse Championships.

Refunds for passes are only for medical, veterinary, balloting or abandonment reasons and any refund must be applied for before the 31st December of the year in which the pass  was purchased. Send applications to info@britisheventing.com and ensure that the horse's BE REGISTERED name is on the vet's letter and application - not the stable name.

Day passes each have a unique number and this is all you need to make your entry.  Your number will be emailed to you or you can see it on your My Details page in the membership area of the website.  To see your horse's number click on its name on your details page and you will go through to the horse's details page where you will find the number.  We do not issue an actual pass. For help on making entries please click on the tab on the left hand menu.

If you are aiming at entering a BE80(T) or any Riding/Pony Club class you need to buy a training pass, not a day pass.
