Volunteer Awards

British Eventing Volunteer award bannerBritish Eventing values the contribution that all volunteers make to our sport, whether as Officials, Organisers, Fence Judges, dressage writers, Score collectors or the many other people who help make a successful event. Organisers, BE Officials and Fieldstaff can nominate volunteers they feel are worthy of recognition in a number of ways. They can nominate either in the 3 categories below or nominate for a BE Award of Outstanding Contribution.

The 3 categories for Volunteer award Nomination:

  • Volunteer of the Year - for any Volunteer at an event, from Organising Committee member, to collecting ring steward or car parker. For people who have really shone in their efforts to make an event possible
  • Young Volunteer of the Year - For any volunteer under the age of 25 at an event, in whatever capacity and particularly for the younger person making an extraordinary or innovative contribution to the sport
  • Fence Judges of the Year in association with Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials - for either a single person or a couple; the winner(s) will fence judge at Badminton the following year, with season passes for 2, membership for 2 and a caravan pass; not forgetting an invitation to the prestigious cocktail party

Recipients receive an Award Certificate and an Award Badge plus the Fence Judges of the Year are invited to Fence Judge at Badminton Horse Trials.

BE's highest commendation is the BRITISH EVENTING AWARD for Outstanding Contribution to the Sport .

This Award is made to those people who, by their outstanding leadership, dedication and support over a number of years have made a significant contribution to the success of our sport.

Presentations are arranged to suit the recipients and they receive an Award Certificate and Award Badge.
