 BE SOUTH WEST WORKING GROUP 2015


On Monday 29th June 2015 the SW working group held its latest meeting at Bicton Arena.

The following Agenda points were covered.

1. Training

• Further ‘Try Eventing ‘days are being organised
• It was proposed that a number of unmounted training/awareness courses be organised
• More equipment checks should be made at events
• All transgressions to be published like British Show Jumping do.

2. Fixtures 2016
• Port Eliot to move to April 30th
• Another event is needed in or very near to Cornwall in Oct
• R.C. is trying to increase time spread between some consecutive events
• It was suggested that a BE Peripheral event could run with Pony Club Qualifier classes

3. South West Rankings
• PR push from late August
• Awards Presentation to take place at South West Equine Fair at Westpoint Exeter on Saturday 5th December

4. Sponsorship
• Awaiting response from potential sponsor
• Other contacts being pursued

5. New Events/Old Sites
• Two potential sites being investigated
• Three waiting for dates

6. Planning for the Future
• Objectives being progressed as proposed
• Specifically an improved calendar and the creation of the Rankings

7. AOB
• A test programme for live results is underway for both on web sites and at events
