TopSpec Corinthian Cup Championships at the Festival of British Eventing

Noah wins Corinthian Cup 2015The TopSpec Corinthian Cup Championship, held at Restricted Novice level, is an exciting addition to the British Eventing calendar. Launched in 2015, it is held annually at Gatcombe Park as part of The Festival of British Eventing. Successfully qualified horse and rider combinations flock to this prestigious venue each summer.

What level is the Championship held at?

This new Championship will be a true Novice test taking place over a brand new Novice cross country course, designed by Captain Mark Phillips and built by both the David Evans team and the Willis Brothers.

British Eventing is pleased that amateur riders' aspirations will now include the opportunity to compete at a prestigious Championship venue following feedback from BE Members about the lack of a 'true' Novice level Championship on the existing calendar.

Who can compete?

In keeping with the grassroots nature of the Championship, riders must not have completed an Intermediate class in the current or preceding five years, and not completed an Advanced class in the current or preceding 10 years.

How can I qualify?

The qualifying period runs from 1st July each year to the 30th June in the following year, with the Championships taking place in the succeeding August at The Festival of British Eventing, Gatcombe.

Horse and rider combinations must finish in the top 10% at any Novice, Open Novice, Intermediate Novice, CIC1* or CCI1* during this period, excluding u18 Novice classes and Pony Trials.

Horses can be Grades II, III or IV and riders will need to be in the year of their 19th birthday, or older.
