Under 18 Programme
What is the BE Under 18 Programme?
The BE Under 18 Programme runs alongside the 12 – 21 Training Programme giving riders a series of training and competitive opportunities for those who are aiming for the BE Under 18 Regional Team Championships, hosted at Frickley Park in July.
Do I need to register?
You do not need to be registered on an Under 18 Programme, or be a BE member, to attend regional 12-21 training which is open to all levels and is designed to be fun, supportive and help riders progress to achieve their future goals.
If you wish to compete in the BE under 18 classes and be eligible for the BE Under 18 Regional Team Championships, you will need to register on the appropriate programme (either BE100u18 and/or Nu18 in your region). This will allow you to compete in BE100u18 and/or Nu18 classes in your region, the results from which the Regional Under 18 coordinators use when selecting their teams for the BE Under 18 Regional Team Championships where regional teams compete at BE100 and CCI1* level.
I would like to register, which Programme is right for me?
- Riders who would like to compete at BE100u18 classes and aim for The National Saddle Centre BE100u18 Regional Team Championship will need to register for the BE100u18 Programme – find out more about the programme HERE.
- The Novice Under 18 Programme is for those looking to compete at Novice under 18 (Nu18) classes and aim for the Nu18 Regional Team Championship, run at CCI1* level – find out more about the programme HERE.
Don't forget minimum eligibility requirements for BE100 and Novice level apply to Under 18 classes as per the BE Members' Handbook
Which region am I in?
The country is divided into eight regions, each of which has an Under 18 Regional Coordinator who is your first point of contact. If you live on the border of two regions you can opt for the Region in which you compete most frequently.
Each Region also has two or three dedicated Under 18 BE Accredited Coaches who deliver quality training for all riders at all levels, click here to read more about the current regional training opportunities in your area.
