Dressage update from the French leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup

The fifth leg of the 2018 the FEI Eventing Nations Cup series sees Great Britain competing in Le Haras du Pin in France from 9th - 14th August. Two days of dressage currently leaves GB in fourth position with Will Furlong leading the way for the British Nations Cup squad on a score of 31.

David Doel and Mrs Jane James and Mr Ian James' Eisfee got things underway for the Brits and posted a score of 33.9, followed up by a smart test from Will Furlong on his own and The Acorn Syndicate’s Collien P 2 on a score of 31. Fiona Kashel entered the arena next for the GB squad to score 34.9 on Creevagh Silver de Haar with team anchor, Tom Jackson, heading in to the cross country with a dressage score of 33.4 penalties on Mrs Sarah Jewson and Mr Richard Jewson’s Billy Cuckoo.

On a team score of 98.3, GB lie in fourth place with France leading on 88.3, Germany second on 88.9 and Sweden third on 91.2.

Away from the FEI Eventing Nations Cup team results, there were some good scores from GB riders in the CICO3* dressage phase with Laura Collett leading the way for the Brits in seventh place on Mr Nick How, Mr Keith Scott and her own Mr Bass with their score of 28.8. Sarah Bullimore sits in ninth place on 29.1 penalties with Brett Bullimore and Christopher and Susan Gillespie’s Reve Du Rouet and Young Rider Richard Coney just 0.3 penalties behind them with Kananaskis on a score of 29.4.
