Changes for next year sees Frenchfield Horse Trials, in Cumbria, joining the BE calendar for the first time and running two days of competition at BE80(T) to BE105 level in April with a second fixture in September. Skipton (1) and (2) Horse Trials, North Yorkshire, adds a BE80(T) class to their schedule in June and August, and Frickley Park (1) in July replaces their BE100Plus class with a BE105 level competition.

We welcome the return of Hopetoun Horse Trials in Scotland, to be organised by Bruce Edward, which will run on 30th June and 1st July at National level taking in BE80(T) to Novice level classes, as fellow Scottish event, Blair Castle International Horse Trials, now host the BE90 and BE100 Scottish Championships.

Finally the FEI European Championships for Ponies heads to Bishop Burton in early August – the second time a Youth European Championship has been held at the Yorkshire event having had the Junior Championship there back in 2014.

BE Chief Executive David Holmes commented; “Following a great season for British Eventing it is now time to look ahead to the coming year; we are delighted to release the calendar for 2018 so our members, fans, volunteers and supporters can start planning their season. The Fixtures Team and Regional Coordinators have been working hard to maintain the number of competition opportunities around the country to ensure a balanced and suitable fixtures calendar for organisers and competitors.

“Thank you to all organisers for your huge efforts in running British Eventing affiliated fixtures, we look forward to a great 2018.”
