Ayreshire Volunteer Award

A party hosted by Auchinleck and Turnberry Horse Trials took place last week. The party was in honour Mrs Vivienne McConechy, who was awarded British Eventing's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2008, but was unable to be presented with the award at that time.

Several years ago, Vivienne was asked to take over the role of finding jump judges for Auchinleck, a job for which she has now become indespensable for.  Her role includes making sure that all jump judges are looked after throughout the day and get breaks whenever needed, all this is done in her usual calm and friendly way. "An invaluable individual" says Aly Boswell.
