WEST BUCKLAND (2)

Event Newsflash - 20/07/2012

Update - Thursday 19 July. After their further inspection this morning, the BE team have said this.
The sunshine on Tuesday has been drowned out by more rain and therefore the site has had no chance to dry out as we had hoped. We have tested the ground today with a horse and it is plain that the event could not take place safely. The tremendous work of the West Buckland team has again sadly been to no avail.

Event Status - Cancelled

Due to the continued adverse weather all competition at West Buckland(2) , scheduled to take place this weekend on 21st – 22nd July, has been abandoned.

LOCATION

Grid reference ST 181 185There will be a recommended one way system for competitors arriving and leaving the event. If using Sat Nav please use TA21 9JE not the event postcode. Once you reach the roundabout at TA21 9JE please continue following our orange direction signs. If you are coming from Taunton using the A38 please take the West Buckland turning at the World’s End pub and pick up the orange direction signs from there. Please under no circumstances follow the road signposted directly from the motorway roundabout to West Buckland. It’s very narrow with an awkward outgoing. You will irritate the locals and get stuck! If you are driving a big lorry, please do not turn into the main event entrance unless asked to by a Traffic Marshal. If the ground is a bit wet, you might have to be directed to another parking area.
