Join an Event Horse Syndicate

Kitty King and Ceylor LAN take the 2013 KBIS YH 6 YO titleIf you have ever been to an event and witnessed the skill, bravery and accuracy of horse and rider, then just imagine the thrill of being part of the sport as an owner.

Creating a syndicate for Event horse ownership can be a fun and informal way for friends, families, colleagues or people with a shared interest to get involved with owning an Event horse at any level depending, on budget and interest.

From supporting a rider with young horses starting out in their careers right up to established horses competing at some of the most prestigious International events in the world, there are syndicate options for everyone.

There are many different syndicates available, below are some current options. If you have an Event horse syndicate that you would like to have featured on this page please email the full details to marketing@britisheventing.com

Harriet Morris-Baumber

‘Made in Yorkshire' syndicate

The syndicate currently owns two horses, Escofino I, known as Scooby and Whitesapark Caramel, known as Chappy, both now underway in their exciting eventing careers.

Scooby is a 15.3hh, grey gelding, who is seven-years-old and is full of character and very cheeky. He is a dream to ride cross country, very responsive and manoeuvrable, meaning tricky combinations should be easy for him as he moves up the levels. Harriet aims for Scooby to be out competing at Intermediate and 1* level in the next 18 months.

Chappy is a 16.1hh, British bred gelding by John Whitaker's stallion, Peppermill. At six-years-old he has already completed five BE90 events, and will be stepping up to BE100 this season, and Intermediate and 1* in 2019. Chappy has enormous scope that will see him easily progress through the levels in the years to come.

Both Scooby and Chappy are the best of friends and love the attention from the syndicate members, either while out competing or at home on the yard.

Stephanie Parsons, 21, Bristol

I have previously ridden with Australian Olympians Wendy Schaeffer and Sam Griffiths. I have successfully ridden a wide variety of lower level horses and am now looking for a partnership to help me become a competitive international senior. Any age/experience level of horse is considered. We are a small team with a brilliant work, enjoyment ethos, I would be delighted to welcome any owner or syndicate who would be interest in joining us. This is a great opportunity to support an up and coming rider from the beginning of their career. Professional references are available.
